How To Defend Yourself: 5 Moves You Must Master

Kung fu is something that everyone wishes to learn. After all, everyone would like to throw in moves like Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris. However, not many of us have the time on our hands to attend training sessions. This blog will tell you about 5 simple techniques that you can learn and use when faced with a fight or a difficult situation.

1.     Accept Death In Order To Survive

Here’s something that will be extremely useful for you at the time that you are getting attacked. You need to accept the possibility of dying. When you accept that possibility, only then will you be free to make wiser decisions during such a situation. If you do not accept such a possibility in your head, then you will use all of your energy into panicking for your life and nothing else.

2.     Attack When Being Attacked

When someone attacks you, your first instinct will be to run away. However, this will only come in handy when the attacker is at a considerable distance from you. Instead of running, you should advance. This is because your attacker will likely feel superior to you if they feel that you are scared of them. When you confront them however, you will most likely surprise them and will be able to do more damage than expected.

3.     Make Use Of Your Head

A human skull can be quite powerful and it can be used as defense. It is a lot better for you to be bashing your head into the nose of an opponent once as opposed to punching it several times. Since the skull is hard and easy to move, you can cause a significant amount of damage to your opponent without putting in that much effort. Headbutts are especially great when an attacker grabs hold of you from behind. There is no point in attacking them with your elbows. In fact, it will waste your energy as well as time.

4.     Everything Can Be Used As A Weapon

Pepper sprays, knives, and guns are not the only weapons that you have available to you. In fact, you can use anything that is shaper and harder than your fingers and knuckles. This is why you should always carry something that you can use as a weapon such as a pen or an umbrella. Stones from the ground can always be useful. One thing to remember is that pointy objects need to be stabbed inside the soft tissue whereas hard objects need to be smashed against the bone.

5.     Aim For The Weak Spots

Any attacker will most likely have weak spots that you can attack, no matter how tough they seem. The following body parts can be aimed at: nose, eyes, throat, groin, kneecaps, and ears.

These tricks are great at helping you overcome such situations. Remember not to think of yourself as any less than the attacker, and you are bound to show them how well you can fight them off.
