He had surpassed many difficulties in the ring and knocked out many opponents, but lying in wait was the toughest difficulty that was yet to come. His life took a nosedive during the era of the Great Depression, but did he waver or show signs of weakness?

No, he didn’t, not the least bit. He went to great lengths to make sure that his family had a roof over their head, a bed to keep them warm, and food to eat. Oher’s childhood wasn’t exactly picture perfect. You can say that they were like angels sent from above to help him find his way. When they took the teen in and made him part of their family, they treated him no different from their own children. They paved him a path, which led to a glorious career in football. The film touched many people’s hearts, sending them a message about family and the existence of good people still present in today’s world.

Sometimes, watching movies that tell a tale of hardships and tough upbringing makes you feel grateful that you didn’t have to deal with that. For people who face these hardships, it gives them a sense of inspiration that life can change; you just need hope and will to make it happen.
