E.T. just can’t quit N.Y.C.
At least according to 35 New Yorkers who reported UFOs in 2019, three times the 12 who called in close encounters the year before.
Manhattan and Queens had the most believers, with 12 sightings in each borough, according to data from the National UFO Reporting Center. Brooklyn logged eight sightings, and Staten Island and The Bronx just two and one respectively.
Otherworldly tourists traveled to and from Gotham in a variety of craft, including “silver, cigar-shaped” space vehicles, and a “bright green orb” — that apparently was not a lime-colored cab in Midtown.
In addition to “star bright/white dots” appearing over Prospect Park, according to reports to the Washington-based center, one Brooklyn resident, Katherine Kocher King, posted a 30-second video of an orange ball bouncing around the sky.
“Did anyone else see this last night in the sky about midnight? Any idea what it could be??” she posted to her Facebook page Oct. 20. She also attached the link to her report to the center.
Another Kings County encounter involved six floating craft flashing red and white lights on Dec. 12 at 5 a.m.
“This is not the first time I have seen alien craft outside of my window at my home in Brooklyn,” the person posted. “The first time was in October and I swear I almost got abducted.”
Another Brooklynite claims he spotted four silver, cigar-shaped objects in the sky on Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m.
“I looked out my window … and saw a very clear trail of exhaust in the sky,” he said. “I happen to live in an area where airplanes regularly fly on a few set routes and I have gotten to know their pace/speed and general flight paths. … There are also frequently helicopters flying slightly lower in the sky than the planes. The craft [were] … moving at a remarkable speed.”
In Queens, a motorist says he stopped for a red light at 112th Street and Northern Boulevard in Corona on July 22 at 3:55 p.m., looked up and was transfixed by a “flat saucer-like object” that released a “bright green orb.”
The state saw a 52 percent increase in UFO sightings to 164 last year, from 108 in 2018.
“We are being visited routinely by UFOs,” insists Peter Davenport, the director for the UFO Reporting Center. “From my vantage point, it’s a daily event. Governments are lying to their respective citizens on this.”
