The Wolf & the Kid

The Wolf & the Kid There was once a young kid whose growing horns made him think he was big enough to look after himself. One evening, while he was lazily grazing in the pastures with his herd, his mother called him out to tell him that the flock was leaving since it was getting dark. In his arrogance, the young goat did not pay heed to his mother and continued to nibble on the tender grass. A little while later, he lifted his head up to see that the herd was gone. He was all alone in the pasture! The sky has grown dark and the chilly evening wind has started to blow. The kid shivered as he thought of all the stories his mother had told him about the deadly wolves that roamed these pastures at night! He started to run in the direction that his flock had>>>

11 Rules For Success

11 Rules For Success ~From The People Who Got It Right! No one is born a success, but everyone has the potential to become one. As Will Smith once said, “Greatness is not this wonderful, esoteric, elusive god-like feature that only the special among us will ever taste. It’s something that truly exists in all of us.” Not there yet? It might help to tap into some of the principles a few of the “already-greats” have used to dictate their own lives. How do you make your dreams come true?

How do you make your dreams come true? One of my favorite quotes is… “It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” ~ George Eliot Just think about that for a moment. Ray Kroc started McDonald’s when he was 52. KFC was launched when Colonel Sanders was in his 60s. And just the other day, I read where a grandmother with 41 grandchildren graduated from college. How old was she? She was 101…the oldest person in history to receive a college degree. She said it was her dream to become a college graduate and she made it come true! Our happiness in many ways ties directly to our “inner voice” that forever asks the question… “Are you moving toward your dream?” If your answer is “yes,” then hope breeds contentment. However, if the answer is “no, it’s too late,” despair may fester within your subconscious. You>>>

The 10 Rules for Achieving Success

The 10 Rules for Achieving Success Success is the intentional, premeditated use of choice and decision. Unless you choose—with certainty—what it is you want, you accept table scraps by default! The world is plump with opportunity. With boldness and conviction, stick a fork into the goals you want by being decisive. You are born with great capabilities, but you will not achieve your potential until you call upon yourself to fulfill it. You will rise to the occasion when it presents itself; yet, to assure self-fulfillment, you must provide occasions to rise to. Clearly defined goals allow you to travel toward another horizon that represents the end of one experience and the transition to a new and better existence. The objective is to choose the right goals, and then to create the necessary causes—the effects will follow! The DIFFERENCE between what one person and another achieves depends more on>>>

What is success?

What is success?  What is success? Only you can define it in your own life. In my own life, I have attempted to define both Success and Significance. To me, Success is secular. Significance is spiritual. It doesn’t matter how you define your own spirituality. Spiritual matters are always finer, deeper, and longer lasting than secular matters. Success focuses on three Fs: • Fans • Fame • Fortune Success is focused on tasks, even goals. Significance also focuses on three Fs: • Faith • Family • Friends But, significance focuses on purpose. Why am I here? What do I do with the talents, experiences and skills that I have? How can I make the world a better place? How do I plant seeds of greatness in the lives of those around me? How do I make an impact in the circles of influence where I find or place myself?>>>

Happiness and Things Successful People Never Say

Happiness and Things Successful People Never Say I’ve spent some time around unsuccessful people. Happiness and Things Successful People Never Say …..Most of them live in a bubble of hopelessness trying to figure out how to break out of their cell (or cubicle). It’s sad. One person I know is so unhappy and stuck that he seems to always be moving backward, not forward–faltering so much in his lack of productivity that it’s almost comical. Being around unsuccessful people is never fun. If you listen to folks who can’t seem to push ahead in their career or who have never started a company or led large groups of people, they all seem to mimic the same speech patterns. They talk the same language. Here are the 10 phrases they always use. Spot this negative talk in others (or in yourself), and you’ll find the wrench in your business’s growth. 1. “That’s impossible” The most unsuccessful people>>>

Running Your Own Race… Think back to a time in your life

Running Your Own Race… Think back to a time in your life Running Your Own Race… Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new. When I was a teenager I volunteered to work the water station at a 10k race. It was called the “Heaven Can Wait” 10k run and ironically, it was sponsored by the local cemetery. My job was to pass out water to the runners. I remember being so excited to see all the different kinds of people who passed by and grabbed a cup of water. Some ran past, some walked past and a few wheeled past. I saw so many types of people doing it, I thought maybe I can do it too! So the next year I signed up for the race and gave it a shot. Back then I didn’t do much to prepare except jog around my neighborhood.>>>
