A time to be born, and a time to die. A time to plant, and a time to recap. A time to weep, and I time to laugh A time to mourn, and a time to dance.” ~ Anonymous, Holy Bible: King James Version   A Selection of Time Quotes “I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that>>>

5 Must Have Phone Applications

5 MUST HAVE PHONE APPLICATIONS A smart phone is never smart without smart applications. One among other qualities people look for when deciding which phone to buy is its ability to have several applications in terms of its memory and RAM. With more than 3 billion apps in the market, it is quite challenging to choose ones that you really need. Google maps app With this app in your phone, you will never get lost anywhere in the world. HEALTH MESSAGE

HEALTH MESSAGE As I was lying in bed pondering the problems of the world, I rapidly realised that I don’t really give a rat’s **se. My  HEALTH MESSAGE  It’s the tortoise life for me! 1.  If walking/cycling is good for your health, the postman would be immortal. 2.  A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat. 3.  A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years. 4.  A tortoise doesn’t run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years. And you tell me to exercise??  I don’t think so. I’m retired.  Go around me! Author: Unknown (& edited by Richard Bejah)      Joke: A woman came home to find her retired husband waving a rolled up newspaper round his head.   Wife: ‘What are you doing dear?’  Husband: ‘Swatting flies – I got 3 males and 2 females’ Wife: ‘How on earth do>>>

What a GREAT time in LIFE

What a GREAT time in LIFE The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I was taken aback, for I do not think of myself as old. Upon seeing my reaction, she was immediately embarrassed, but I explained that it was an interesting question, and I would ponder it, and let her know.   Old Age, I decided, is a gift.  I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be.  Oh, not my body!  I sometime despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggy eyes, and the sagging butt.  And often I am taken aback by that old person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother!), but I don’t agonize over those things for long. I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray>>>

: A deal is a deal!

: A deal is a deal!   When Joe, a nice man married for over 50 years died, his wife, Myrtle was devastated. A couple of months later, Myrtle also died. Once in heaven, Myrtle anxiously looked for Joe. Suddenly, behind a cloud, she could clearly see him with another woman. She ran towards him, calling his name: “Joe Darling… Joe………..” Joe said: “Hold your horses woman, and don’t ‘darling’ me. The deal was very clear……….  “Until death do us part”     “If you calculate the cost of creating each cell in your body it would be about six thousand trillion dollars.  You are priceless. ”  ~John Maxwell

What Do You Value Most?

What Do You Value Most? It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man. College, girls, career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop him. Over the phone, his mother told him, “Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday.” Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days. “Jack, did you hear me?” “Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It’s been so long since I thought of him. I’m sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago,” Jack said. “Well, he didn’t forget>>>

Tough Times Never Last; Tough People Do

Tough Times Never Last; Tough People Do Author: Robert Schuller My daughter Carol lost her leg in a motorcycle accident in 1978. At the time, Mrs. Schuller and I were in Korea. On the long trip back to Iowa, I searched for the right thing to say. What would my first words to Carol be? When we arrived at the hospital, I was shocked. Carol lay in her bed in intensive care, her body bruised, broken, and disfigured. But her spirits were whole and healthy. Immediately she solved the problem of what to say by speaking first: “I know why it happened, Dad. God wants to use me to help others who have been hurt.” It was this spirit that carried her through seven months of hospitalization, intravenous feedings, and consequent collapsed veins. This positive attitude gave her the courage to fight a raging infection that threatened her life and>>>
