Some days get hard. We feel exhausted. Used. Sick of combating. About all set to offer up. Feeling like we can’t go on. Having a hard time through defeat. The opponent seems to be hot on our path. And we question if we have actually been left on our own.
For those who are battle-weary, His Fact over us for this day …
We’re not alone. Never. God won’t let go, though we may have problem with the lies that He’s left us fending for ourselves in tough times. His Word is filled with reminders that He fights for us still today. It never ever states this life will be easy. He never ever promises that we will not get weary, or that we won’t deal with an enemy or a giant. However He does state we can concern Him and He will provide us rest. He does guarantee to fill us with the power of His Spirit and that His delight will be our strength. He does advise us that the battle is not ours however the Lord’s. He does state that we wrestle not versus flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness in this life.
In Exodus 17, the Israelites were dealing with an intense enemy. The Amakelites were approaching. They eliminated for sport and were on the attack against God’s individuals. Moses told them that as Joshua led individuals in battle, he would increase to the top of the hill and hold out the personnel of the Lord over them. And God’s Word informs us that for as long as his hands were held up, the Israelites were gaining, but when his arms got weary, the enemy started to overtake them. Aaron and Hur came, and held up his hands.
One on one side, and one on the other. And a wonder occurred that day. Despite the fact that all odds were stacked versus them, individuals beat this strong enemy. For God is stronger than any enemy we deal with. He provided success, for they believed, “The Lord is my banner … For hands were raised to the throne of the Lord.” v. 15-16
This story advises us that some days, even the best of leaders, even the greatest … can get tired.
Even those who understand Reality, even those who walk carefully with God, who think in Him and in His power, even they … can get tired.
None of us are immune. Life is hard some days. And frequently there’s not even simply one “huge” thing, however just great deals of little fights that can drain us dry. Parenting, marriage, task, relationships, worries, stress over the future, experiencing loss, frustration, disease, money issues– it all can leave us beaten down and worn. Applaud God, He gives us one another to assist in times when we just feel like, “I can’t anymore …”
We’re all in this life thing together, let’s help each other todayAssist Give an encouraging word, smile at someone, compose a note, send a text, purchase somebody a coffee, pray for another soul and let them know that you’re hoping, anything, just to advise a fellow follower that you’re holding up their battle-weary arms. And that you’re with them.
And God is with us.
He will never ever fail us.
We can raise our hands, no matter how tired we might feel, to the throne of grace, our Lord Almighty.
He will offer us strength, He will bring the success, even when we feel outnumbered or too exhausted to keep pressing on.
Grateful for His truth.
Peace to you this day, He’s defending you.
And He won’t let go.
The battle feels intense some days. We burn out and weak, tired and used. It’s hard to keep going in the face of defeat. Help us to remember that you will never ever leave us, that you’re our Refuge and our Strength, an ever-present help in problem. We know that the enemy would not be fighting so hard versus us, if we weren’t making a distinction for your Kingdom. He would not be trying so hard to stop us, if he didn’t believe you had a lot excellent still in store. Remind us that the battle comes from you, and whatever we’re up versus can be taken down in one fail swoop by your Mighty Hand. Help us to trust you more, to never waste time spinning our wheels and battling or fighting in our strength. Please forgive us Lord for the times we’ve stopped working to lift our hands to you, for the days we have actually forgotten to come to you first. Fill us with the Power of your Holy Spirit this day. Fill us with your joy, fill us with your wisdom and discernment, fill us with consistent pointers that Your Existence will choose us, and you will give us rest.
Thank you for the victories in our lives, that have no description except, “God did this.” We provide you the magnificence and honor for all that you’re doing in our lives every day, even in the times we can’t see it all, or comprehend your methods.
Help us to keep our eyes on you. Help us to see when another soul around us requires to be encouraged too. Assist us to be loyal to bring one another’s burdens, keeping in mind that we’re all in this life together, and there’s terrific power in unity.
We enjoy you and we require you. We lift up our hearts and hands to worship you. Thank you that your banner over us is love.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
