Pay it forward day
NEXT DAY:- April 25, 2019
They now have over 80 countries participating in Pay it Forward Day with over 70 state and city proclamations!
Pay it forward day ….. How it works?
Many of you may have seen the movie ‘Pay It Forward’ or have read the novel of the same name, a story about a young boy who did 3 good deeds for others in need. In return, all that the child wanted was that they pass on the good deed to three other people and keep the cycle going. One good deed might not seem like much, but if everyone did something good for someone else, then the cycle of generosity and kindness can spark us to become better people.
So how does it work? Do between one and three good deeds for others without asking for anything in return. Instead the recipient should be instructed to pay it forward to someone else in need. Pay it Forward Cards (downloadable from a link below) can be handed to each recipient explaining what Pay it Forward is all about. There are 24 boxes on the back of the card that are ticked off as the card travels around – each box containing the potential for future good deeds as others Pay it Forward to others in need.
The Pay it Forward part can be completed at each person’s discretion.

“Pay it Forward – The Power of Three”
Why Pay it Forward?
There is tremendous power and positive energy in giving – it is a shame that not enough people have experienced it to the fullest. Pay It Forward Day is about all people, from all walks of life giving to someone else and making a positive difference. At last count there were more than 15 countries around the world participating in the day including Australia, United States, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Germany.
So why Pay it Forward?
To encourage all of us to embrace the incredible power of giving.
To show each other that we care and that there is love, hope and magic all around us.
To know that we may be only one person in this world, but to one person, at one time, we are the world.
Make a difference and experience the true power of giving. Thank you for your support. Together we can change the world – one good deed at a time!
A message from Catherine Ryan Hyde
(Author of Pay it Forward)
Pay it Forward Day is a brilliant initiative. It embodies the power of giving which is the cornerstone of my book. It is amazing the difference a simple idea can have in changing the world – one good deed at a time. I hope everyone can join with Blake on the next Pay it Forward day.
Catherine Ryan Hyde – Author of Pay it Forward and 10 other novels, including the newly released “Chasing Windmills.”
A message from Blake Beattie (Pay It Forward Day Founder) ‘Pay it Forward Day’ is a brilliant concept by Catherine Ryan Hyde from her book of the same title. Some people were originally quite sceptical of the whole idea: they said that it was good in theory, but not in practise. I challenged this point of view believing that people are genuinely giving by nature, but many get caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life. April 30 is a time when each of us can get to experience the ‘Power of Giving’ and a massive, positive ripple effect continues as Pay it Forward cards travel around with each good deed that is completed.
So why just make it one day? Shouldn’t we be Paying it Forward every day?
We should be looking for ways to help others every day. Pay it Forward Day is meant to be a powerful reminder of the positive energy associated when we give to others without expectation of receiving anything in return. From what we get we make a living – from what we give, we make a life. ‘Pay it Forward Day’ is a time when we all can remind ourselves of the power of giving and in the process we make this world that little bit brighter. Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to visit our sponsors because none of this would happen if it wasn’t for their kindness and generosity. Thanks must go, in particular, to Juuce Interactive for their kind, heartfelt support of this initiative.
