Obstacles Lead to a Better Path
Imagine waking up one morning and finding out that you are quite late for work. You will surely panic at such a time but simultaneously hurry up to reach work as soon as possible.
As you are putting on your watch, it breaks.
Nevertheless, you ignore that and leave it at home making a mental note have it repaired later on. You rush down the stairs and clamber into your car quickly. However, just as you run the ignition of your car, the engine gives out. You hit the steering wheel in anger but you still have to get to work so you leave your car at home and decide to take the train.
You run to the station to catch the train that would take you directly to work. However, you miss it by one minute! Now, you’re really frustrated, but work is still waiting for you. The next train would arrive in 10 minutes. Waiting that long was simply out of option for you. You check your phone. The nearby bus station will have a bus arriving in 3 minutes. If you hurried up, you could easily catch it.
Instead of waiting at the station for the next train, you decide to take the bus. You change course and finally get to the bus station. The bus arrives in the next few minutes and yes! You’re on it!
After half an hour, you finally step into your office feeling quite triumphant that you at least made it to work today.
However, just as you sit down, someone switches to the news channel on the office TV. The news anchor informs that there had been a terrible collision between two trains. Incidentally, one of the trains was the one that you had just missed. You stare open mouthed at the TV when your eyes fall on the track where the collision had happened. This was the route that you generally took through your car! If you had been in your car, surely you would have been delayed due to the commotion from the collision. Perhaps, you even would have been harmed because of it!
At this moment, you realize that you should be thankful for more than just reaching the office in time. You should be thankful for being alive at that very moment!
Sometimes, problems can take you to a better path. You just don’t see it immediately!
Moral: Obstacles lead to a better path!
You might take obstacles as impediments in your life but you never know the reason behind them. Sometimes, problems present you with the seeds of opportunity. In the above scenarios, you would surely have been angry when your day didn’t go as you had planned it. However, you would feel devastated if you learned that you could have DIED if your plans had stayed intact.
We all feel this way at some point in time in our lives. Obstacles are a part of our daily life. When we put them in perspective, only then do we clearly see that perhaps, everything happened for a reason and whatever issues we had to deal with took us to a better path, an improved outcome!
