Devotion and Productivity Go Hand-In-Hand

Devotion and Productivity Go Hand-In-Hand Once upon a time, an old man was walking down a beach when he noticed a little boy throwing something in the sea. He walked up to the boy and inquired, “My dear son, what are you doing here so early in the morning?” without stopping to look at the old man, the boy replied, “Hello sir, I am throwing these jellyfish back in the sea. A bunch of them washed up on the shore last night, they will surely die if the sun comes up and they are not in the water so, I am trying to put them all back in the sea.” The old man smiled at the folly of the little boy. He looked at the number of jellyfish and reasoned, “But this is absurd, there are hundreds of jellyfish here, you possibly cannot throw all of them in water before>>>

The Power of Positive Thinking

The Power of Positive Thinking ‘’The mind is its own place and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.’’ ~ John Milton On 24th December 2007, St. John’s Memorial Hospital was buzzing with news of Ward No. 5’s recovery. Despite it being Christmas Eve, the nurses and doctors alike were seen running over to congratulate the doctor.  Everyone wished to witness this Christmas miracle before they headed home. What was this miracle you ask? Well, it all began on a fateful May morning… On the surface, it had been just another day for Margaret Marshall. She was running around the house searching for her bags and books. Her mother was calling her for breakfast and she could already see the school bus getting smaller from her window. ‘’Are you running late again, magpie?’’ asked her Mrs. Marshall, as she peeked out from her room. ‘’>>>

It’s Never Too Late to Live Your Life

It’s Never Too Late to Live Your Life Once upon a time, a man was wandering in a clear, grey forest. He seemed to be lost, searching for something. However, before he could find what he had been looking for, he came across a tiger. The tiger chased the man to the edge of the cliff and the man tipped over. Luckily, he grabbed a vine half way down the fall. He was momentarily safe. Although, when he looked up at the cliff, he didn’t quite feel that way. The tiger stood, bare tooth and gnawing away at the edge in the hopes of catching the man waiting to devour his own hunger. The man gulped down and decided to find a way to get himself out of this predicament by looking for a way further down. Perhaps, he could make his way back to home from somewhere on the>>>

The Wall of Kindness

The Wall of Kindness Walls have always been built to divide and segregate people but did you know that there is a wall that can bring people together as well? Well, the wall of kindness not only brings people together but also helps those in need! The idea behind the wall of kindness is simple and the two-liner motto describes it perfectly, “take if you need” and “leave if you don’t!” You simply leave clothing articles that you do not need for those who require them. It is simply a clean wall in a public place to which hooks are attached. People who wish to donate clothing items can leave them hanging there so anyone can take them. The idea of the wall of kindness was originated in Iran to help the homeless people of Mashhad in surviving the cold winter weather. With the sanctions imposed by the western world>>>

Soon he started to feel the despair of losing. He lost confidence in himself and decided to never take part in a battle again. He went as far as to think about giving up his kingdom and live in hiding for the rest of his life. The king was deeply engrossed in his depressing thoughts when an interesting scene caught his attention. He noticed a spider that was tirelessly trying to spin a web across the ceiling of the>>>

Fighting Your Demons: The Story of Doubt and Delay

Fighting Your Demons: The Story of Doubt and Delay Do you know what stops you from achieving your dreams? Millions of negative thoughts start sprouting up in our head as soon as we think about starting something new. The fear of failure paralyzes us to the extent that we never move out from our comfort zones. As a result, we all go through life without achieving the big dreams we dreamed and the many goals we had once set for the future. Arthur Montgomery lived in the same fear for forty odd-years of his life. He was a chef in a lawyer’s suit. He spent every day in the courtrooms prosecuting criminals and fighting off crime on the streets. However, he could never fight against his inner demons. At home when he looked in the mirror he saw a failure. His haggard features and lifeless eyes mocked him. He could hear>>>
