I Believe…

I Believe… I Believe… A Birth Certificate shows that we were born I Believe… A tombstone shows that we died I Believe… Pictures show that we lived! Have a seat . Relax . . . And read this slowly.    I Believe…  just because two people argue, It doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. And just because they don’t argue, It doesn’t mean they do love each other. I Believe…  we don’t have to change friends if We understand that friends change.   I Believe… no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I Believe… true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I Believe… you can do something in an instant That will give you heartache for life. I Believe… it’s taking me a long time To>>>

“But You Promised!”

“But You Promised!”   Have you ever… • Promised to deliver something by a set date and later regretted it? • Volunteered for a job you had no idea would take so long? • Agreed to a deal that looked great but wasn’t? • Accepted an invitation you wish you hadn’t? Eventually, we all learn by experience a basic law of life: It’s always easier to get in than get out!  The Bible says, “It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider his vows” (Proverbs 20:25 NIV). There are three common commitment traps   1. The Money Trap: It’s always easier to get into debt than out of debt! It’s always easier to borrow than to pay it back.   2. The Partnership Trap: It’s always easier to get into a partnership, or a relationship, than to get out of one!  >>>

Before they call, I will answer

Before they call, I will answer  This beautiful story was written by a doctor who worked in Central Africa One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive; as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no special feeding facilities.. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had  burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates).. And it is our last hot water bottle!’ she exclaimed. As>>>

NOW THAT’S GOD…

Now that’s GOD…. NOW THAT’S GOD… It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk. The creeks and streams were long gone back into the earth. It was a dry season that would bankrupt several farmers before it was through. Every day, my husband & his brothers would go about the arduous job: trying to get water to the fields. Lately it had involved taking a truck to the local water rendering plant and filling it up with water. But severe rationing had cut everyone off. If we didn’t see some rain soon…we would lose everything. It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes. I was in the kitchen making lunch for my>>>

I’m a Little Tea Cup

I’m a Little Tea Cup Love this story or not, you will not be able to have tea in a tea cup again without thinking of this. There was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th. wedding anniversary.  They both liked antiques and pottery, and especially teacups. Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked “May we see that?  We’ve never seen a cup quite so beautiful” As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke, “You don’t understand. I  have not always been a teacup. There was a time  when I was just a lump of red  clay. My master took me and rolled me, pounded and patted me over and over and I yelled out, “Don’t do that. I  don’t like it! Let me alone,” but he only smiled, and gently said, “Not yet.” Then WHAM!>>>

37 Seconds

37 Seconds It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking. Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’ s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. Every afternoon,  when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his>>>

I Hope It Applies… “A dollar and eleven cents”

I Hope It Applies… “A dollar and eleven cents”    You may not need this today but there might be someone who does need to hear it. And, we never know what tomorrow will bring. A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully.    Three times, even.. The total had to be exactly perfect.. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall’s Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door. She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise.  Nothing. >>>

When You Still Have Hope

When You Still Have Hope When you can look at the sunset and smile, then you still have hope. When you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower, then you still have hope. When you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly, then you still have hope. When the smile of a child can still warm your heart, then you still have hope. When you can see the good in other people, then you still have hope. When the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep, then you still have hope. When the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder, then you still have hope. When the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips, then you still have hope. When you meet new people with a trace of excitement and>>>
