Most of all, time, health and family are three assets that we rarely appreciate until they are depleted. So be thankful simply for being alive and be grateful for your family and friends. When you can express your appreciation, sincerely, without expecting anything in return then you are ready to continue your journey on the path of happiness.
Second Stop – Learn to Forgive
It is said that the best way to parts ways with a bad experience is to forgive the people who hurt you. The path to happiness has no place for grudges. You can be truly happy only when you let go of the past. Forgiveness does not change the past but it has the power to change the future.
First of all, learn to forgive yourself. We all make mistakes at some points in our lives but some people dwell on their mistakes for too long. It is important to learn from your mistakes but it is also important to forgive yourself. Always remember to be kind to yourself because once you realize your mistakes, it’s already time to let go of them.
Secondly, learn to forgive others. Marianne Williamson perfectly summed up the power of forgiveness when she said, “Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.”
Most of all, never hesitate to seek forgiveness when you are at fault because it is the only way to deal with your conscience.
Last Stop – Keep Faith
Keeping faith is the final stop on your path to happiness. When things go wrong, keep faith in God and never stop believing in yourself. Don’t lose heart and keep working towards your goal with determination. Remember, genuine efforts are never wasted; they always pay off in one way or another!
