Raise your hands if you wanted to become a doctor after watching the hit TV series “Grey’s Anatomy” or “House”. While the actual medical profession is nowhere near as glamorous or entertaining as the TV show, people think that being a doctor is all about that white coat, intriguing cases and on-call duties with live action.
What they don’t know is the amount of studying, examinations, grueling work and insomniac years of residency that is behind the signature white coat and the stethoscope. The Fantasy: You are the know-it-all doctor who saves lives topped up with all the fancy imagery that TV shows have been feeding you all your life.
The Reality: Physicians have to work overnight and on long shifts. They have to be on-call 24/7 and have to respond to emergencies wherever they may be. Sure, they earn a lot. But when do they get the time to spend and enjoy their earnings? No!

The Reality: Working in the industry is not all fun. Besides, becoming the next Walt Disney is not an easy target, and the pay is not worth it either.

The Reality: The major part of being a lawyer involves writing tedious documents, meeting deadlines and dealing with consequences for making a mistake.
