Tips to Walk Away from a Fight

The world today is much different from the world of yesterday. It is plagued with violence with people bullying others mercilessly, killing them if they provoke them. However, the location for violent outbursts is not just the school or the house, as it can happen almost anywhere.

The key for individuals suffering the taunts of a person prone to violence is to remain his/her calm. They need to keep the individual from lashing out at them violently is by doing the following things to walk away from it:

Trick #1:  Do Not Care

If someone approaches you to start up a fight, let him/her shout at you. They want to aggravate you so you will raise your hand or your voice, giving them a chance to strike you violently. If a person with a destructive personality comes up to you, you need to remain your cool. Let them talk while you remain unresponsiveness.

Trick #2:  Travel with a Group

A bully will come up to you if he/she spots you walking alone in the streets. If you walk with a huge group of people, they will unlikely follow you. Try to take with you your biggest and most muscular friends with tattoos and an attitude so others know not to approach you, as your entire group will have your back.

Trick #3:  Pretend You Have Ties with the Local Police

Now, this may or may not work, as largely depends on how bold and fearless your bullies are. If you want to use this trick, here is what you will have to do—take out your cell phone, pretend to dial numbers, and with confidence, tell them if they do not back away; they will have the entire police squad out hunting for them.

Trick #4:  Have a Can of Tear Gas

If the bullies weapon is their fist, you weapon is a can of tear gas. If you encounter someone who wants to pick on you for no reason, smile, and take out your can of tear gas. Next thing you know, they will be the ones running away crying.

Trick #5:  Go to a Crowded Area

Bullies will not lift a finger on someone who is amongst several people as they would easily if someone was alone. If you suspect the bully to use more than his/her words, quickly move towards a crowded area.

Trick #6:  Admit You Are the Worst

Remember, no reaction is the best reaction! If the bully is threatening you or saying something awful about you, nod your head and agree. When you agree with all of their statements about you, they might soften and explain the reason why they wanted to pick a fight with you or perhaps, just leave you alone.
