How to Become Someone’s Inspiration

Look back in your life so far and think if you have ever inspired someone to do something positive in his or her life. Have you? If you could not think of anyone who may have come up to you, thanking you for your support throughout his or her life, you have yet to achieve the highest satisfaction in life.

The highest satisfaction in life is being someone’s inspiration, knowing that your influence and guidance played a vital role in their success. Do not feel glum about not becoming someone’s inspiration, as there is still time. Through your actions and words, you can transform yourself into an inspirational person, and here’s how to begin:

1.     Be Fun, but Serious

You do not have to put on a serious face each time you confer with someone, as people will deem you as unapproachable. If you are unapproachable, how do you expect people to come up to you for advice? You want to establish a persona, which is a combination of serious and fun. In doing so, people will come up to you, asking you for advice, which is what you want.

2.     Do Not Unleash a Storm of Ideas on Someone

You may be knowledgeable and aching to share your knowledge with others. However, bombarding them with knowledge will backfire on you, as they will feel overwhelmed. Share ideas and information with the, just not all at once, but in bits and pieces. If you tell them everything, they will not be able to share their ideas or add on to yours. Give them room to grow because that is what an inspirational person does—they listen.

3.     Consistently Inspire People

Do not be that person who has a moment of inspiration, and then it is gone. You want to keep inspiring others through your words, blog, gestures, and anything you can think of at the top of your mind that will make you stay consistent. If you do not find a way to share your wisdom with others, people will not perceive you as an inspiration.

4.     Use Interruption as an Opportunity

Don’t you hate when people interrupt your thought process, especially when you are on to something good? Most of us boil with anger, but do you know who keeps his/her calm? It is a person who looks for an opportunity to inspire others by keeping their cool. They use the interruption as opportunity to teach an inspirational lesson to the person who cut them off mid sentence.

5.     Do Not Hide Your Imperfections

What makes someone likable is their imperfections, as people are naturally drawn to someone who is not or trying to be the ideal concept of the ideal human being. If people portray themselves as perfect, reaching out to them for advice become harder for people with imperfections.
Have you inspired someone? If you have become someone’s inspiration in the past or someone has inspired you, please share your story with us, as your story may inspire someone else.
