The Power of a (Hug)

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

The Power of a (Hug)
One of my daughters gave this little story to me around 14 years ago and I have had it on my office filing cabinets on display ever since.. The story has had a powerful hold on me over these years... I read the story nearly on a daily basis as a reminder, of love that is needed by my family.

Something that we all should take to heart.

So I wanted to share it with you. Hoping that you find it has significance to you too.

The Power of a (Hug)

This is a picture from an article called
"The Rescue Hug".

The article details
the first week of a set of twins.

Apparently, each were in their respective
incubators, and one was not expected
to live. A hospital nurse fought against
the hospital rules and placed the babies
in one incubator.

When they were placed together,
the healthier of the twins reached
out an arm over the sister in an endearing
embrace. The smaller baby's heart
stabilized and her temperature rose
to normal.

Let us not forget to embrace
those whom we love.
