A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'
The Lord led the holy man to two doors.
He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.
In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.
The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly.
They appeared to be famished.
They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.
But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.
The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.
The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door It was exactly the same as the first one.
There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.
The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.
The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'
It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'
I will always share my spoon with you.
Moral:- The lesson is in the struggle, not in the victory!
Daily Quote:- Several years ago for my 50th birthday, my brother-in-law gave me a framed quotation by Theodore Roosevelt entitled The Credit. He had added at the base of the frame the inscription “Happy 50th birthday to Willis. – ‘The Gladiator’, win, lose, or draw, always in the arena.”
The Credit reads like this.
It is not the critic who counts;
nor the man who points out how the strong man stumbled;
or where the doer of deeds could have done better.
The credit belongs to those who are actually in the arena;
whose faces are marred by dust and sweat and blood;
who strive valiantly;
who err and fall short again and again;
who know the great enthusiasms;
the great devotions;
and spend themselves in a worthy cause;
who at the best know in the end the triumph of high achievement;
and who at worst, if they fail,
at least fail while daring greatly;
so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls
who know neither victory nor defeat. SO ……….YES…….I……….CAN! "

Hell and heaven are in our society itself. In this materialistic world, people have become too greedy.
Cooperation is the key to our success. If we help each other, both are gainers. Otherwise both are bound to lose.

Subrato... YES INDEED this world is a mixture of Heaven & Hell.. There are so many bad things in the world.. Yes we have 2 main drivers in our lives FEAR and GREED... (& the 7 deadly sins) That is why markets behave so badly at times as one of these 2 is always in charge. What a world would be without those... I decree now that we ALL should help and Love one another.. What a WONDERFUL World we would have then... Maybe this is just a pipe dream but I just cant stop dreaming!!! RICH :0)

Interesting what can happen if you take care of someone else. As John Wooden said, "Happiness begins, when selfishness ends."

YEP too many think of themselves 1st and only.. I've always found that the more you help othersthat MORE THINGS COME BACK to you as payback.... Just like a Rubber band in a GOOD WAY! Something Biblical there! RICH :0)
