Personal Development towards Financial Success
It seems like only yesterday that setting up a web site was the "in thing" to do. Next thing I know, blogs became the rage and many stampeded to set up a blog and commence blogging. But that is ancient history in internet time, and new times are before us. All the talk today is about "Social Media" with Twitter and Facebook rolling off the tongue of young and old alike. It's the newest phase in online communication, it's the newest phase in community, and as you might expect, it's starting to catch the attention of entrepreneurs and marketers too.
It's hard to believe that movie stars, athletes, news reporters and famous names from @RichardBranson to @DavidHenrie to @EliManning to @SarahSilverman and beyond, are racing to establish themselves as part of the Twitter craze.
However Twitter is far more intimate than that. Truth be told, Twitter is a local phenomena too. It's likely your town municipal government is on Twitter, your local TV news, your local Fire Department, your local library, your local college, even the guy that bagged your groceries recently. If they aren't on Twitter today, they'll likely be on soon.
But there's another audience moving rapidly to Twitter. It's a tidal shift of a more serious nature where businesses and entrepreneurs are starting to tap the enormous potential of Twitter. When we witness established companies such as: @HomeDepot, @TVGuide or @lacoste start lining up on the Twitter bandwagon, it's definitely time to pay close attention.
It is likely that this "business phenomena" boils down to the everlasting fact that a significant amount of business actually occurs in social gatherings, at cocktail parties, on the golf course, and at other social events. Now, through Twitter it's easy to benefit from the internet version of a non-stop cocktail party of unimaginable proportions.
It's impossible to overlook some of these statistics and stories:
The facts and news stories are mind-blowing:
What's the meaning of all this? It means that if you are an entrepreneur or in any business, you must not hesitate to head over to Twitter and set up a Twitter account.
Easy enough?
Well, not quite........ Once you have your account opened, that's when the for most people, the challenges begin. It's a very very simple concept, but like a Rubik's Cube, unless you know WHAT to do, you're going to soon be scratching your head.
Thankfully, there's help. Internet strategist and social media marketing expert, Dan Hollings has spent the past year researching and testing Twitter strategies for business. Along the way, Dan wrote 100 extremely helpful Twitter tips for business. Next he created a toolbar for Mac or PC that puts over 230 Twitter tools, tips and apps easily within reach. Recently, he released his remarkable Twitter training program called, "Twitter Twenius" (that's Twitter-talk for genius).
Here is a few sample Twitter tips, to wet your whistle:
1. Want more followers? Simply increase your engagement with existing followers, and your followers will reTweet and recommend you to new followers. As a famous Twitterer once read... It's not how many followers you have, it's how many times you get reTweeted. 2. Here is a basic Twitter tip, to get your juices flowing: Secure your Social Username across as many social networks as you can. These tools may help: DialUsername or Knowem. 3. Here is another sample Twitter tip, from the hundreds Dan has originated:

Establish a "Twitter Personality" or style. It's well worth listening and observing other Tweeters that you find interesting to help you plot your "personality strategy." Ultimately your goal is to be 100% YOU - a real person - only notch it up bit; be MORE of whatever you are. Perhaps MORE humorous, MORE edgy, MORE informative, MORE social, MORE sexy, MORE original, MORE controversial, anything except... MORE obnoxious!
It goes without saying that there's a lot more to learn, but if you're looking for the ultimate in Twitter money-making strategies or a way to accelerate the Twitter afterburners on all your promotional campaigns whether in your local area or throughout the world, I enthusiastically recommend Twitter Twenius.
